Weekly Safety Report: Woman Injured in Single Vehicle Accident, Man to Stand Trial in Infant Death in West Plains, Missouri
Two incidents occurred in West Plains, Missouri this week. In the first incident, a woman sustained moderate injuries in a single vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 63. The driver, Cheyanne Miller, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a fence and a tree. She was transported to a local healthcare facility for treatment. In the second incident, a man is set to stand trial in September 2024 for his alleged role in the death of an infant. Levi Coffel was caring for four small children, including the infant, when the infant was found submerged underwater in a bathtub. Coffel was intoxicated and provided inconsistent information to the police.
