It was a rare moment for the extraordinary student-athlete Eden Moore has been over the past four years, but it came at an extraordinary time.

Did you know... what these were? These are sidewalk skates and key. These skates had metal wheels, for use on concrete streets and sidewalks. The skate was adjustable in size and was clamped onto a shoe with the skate key. You probably had a pair of these if you grew up as a kid in the 1940s and 50s. I know I did. Later I moved on to regular shoe skates. I spent a lot of time at the outdoor rink in Pattee Park.
