Firefighter hospitalized after Havre De Grace fire
BALTIMORE -- A firefighter was injured while responding to a house fire Tuesday morning in Havre De Grace, the Harford County Fire Department said. Volunteer firefighters from The Susquehanna Hose Company and other units responded to the fire on the 300 block of Hill Court, officials said around 5:30 a.m. The firefighter, whose company was unknown, was transported to Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore via EMS. Their condition was not immediately clear. This is a developing story and will be updated.
Lyft driver caught in crossfire of Aberdeen drive-by shooting told to return rental car
A Lyft driver targeted last week in a drive-by shooting in Aberdeen is recovering emotionally while trying to figure out how to get out of her rideshare agreement. The driver, whom 11 News is not identifying for safety reasons, said she was working around 10:45 p.m. Wednesday when Lyft sent her to the Perrywood Garden Apartments in Aberdeen to drop off a pair of passengers and pick up a second pair at the same complex. At some point, shots were fired, and the driver was caught in the crossfire.

BEL AIR, Md. (TCD) — A 24-year-old man is accused of fatally stabbing an elderly woman during a dispute and assaulting her teenage granddaughter, who attempted to intervene. According to a statement from the Bel Air Police Department, officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence in the 700 block of Bedford Road on Thursday, Feb. 22, shortly after 2:40 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered 73-year-old Mary Bland with stab wounds and her 17-year-old granddaughter, who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

CENTREVILLE — Queen Anne’s County High’s Tremaine Jackson, Kent County’s Scottie Ford, and Kent Island’s Giuseppe Mellinger each won their respective weight classes Saturday night during the boys Class 2A-1A East Region wrestling championships at Queen Anne’s County High. Jackson (35-3) scored a late takedown in overtime for a 5-3 sudden victory over Rising Sun’s Xzavier Brown (35-8) to win the 126-pound title. Ford (37-1) worked a reversal 2 seconds into the second 30-second sudden victory session for a 4-2 win over Parkside’s Rocco Tully (35-9) in the 138-pound final Mellinger (36-5) got an escape 18 seconds into the third period and blocked a late shot to earn a 3-2 win over Parkside’s Canaan Mapp (24-8) in the 175-pound final.
