New realty firm, Acre and Estate, now open in Bethlehem

A new real estate office has opened at 622 Linden Street Bethlehem.

Broker-owner Eric Leadbetter said he formed Acre and Estate with a desire to work with a group of people he loved and trusted.

The new office was brought together with his cousin and co-owner Shawn Leadbetter, a former Palmerton police officer with five years in the real estate industry and Shawn’s wife Meg Leadbetter and Eric’s partner Jason Navilliat, who also runs Bowman Arrow Title Company. Meg and Jason are also co-owners of the firm.

The co-owners had been looking to open an office for the past few years and worked hard to come up with what they thought was the perfect name.

The words acre and estate seemed to quickly identify what they do and would hopefully be unique enough that it would stand out.

Leadbetter said he started the new firm as a growth from the Eric Leadbetter team that he ran at the previous real estate office he worked at, a team he has led for the past 11 years.

With the newly formed Acre and Estate office, he has already signed up more than 40 agents within a month of opening. He has brought on a combination of experienced real estate professionals as well as agents that are new to the field.

“One of the things that sets us apart is that we have an awesome training and coaching program,” Leadbetter said.

With the current median home price in the Lehigh Valley at $330,000, Acre and Estate is targeting home sales at or above that level. The office is currently listing a property with an asking price of more than $6 million. But, Leadbetter said they service all types of real estate and don’t turn anyone away.

They specialize in residential, commercial, investment and land sales.

Leadbetter said he wants to continue the charitable work that his team has always been known for at Acre and Estate. His team has raised money and supplies for local schools, the police and animal charities and is a regular participant in the Lehigh Valley Pride festival.
