North Pitt’s Jones leads ENC athletes playing in East-West basketball games

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — North Pitt High School senior and future N.C. State player Zamareya Jones leads a talented crew of basketball seniors who will take part in the East-West All-Star Games in Greensboro.

Jones is on a girls’ team that also features Jasmine Felton of Northeastern. It is coached by April Rose of Pamlico County. South Central coach Robert Duck II, who announced he will be the next J.H. Rose boys basketball coach, is the East assistant coach.

On the boys’ side, Bertie County senior Tequan Holley will play for the East team and is joined by Zack Noel of White Oak. Northern Nash’s Randall King and Izeal Mallory are also on the team. It is coached by Northern Nash’s Henry Drake.

The basketball games will be played on July 15 as part of the annual NC Coaches Association clinic. Soccer games for boys and girls will follow on July 16 with football on July 17.
