Boys Lacrosse: Bernards Beats Bridgewater-Raritan, 5-4, in Somerset County Semifinals

BERNARDSVILLE, NJ -- Bernards advanced in the semifinal round of the Somerset County Tournament with a 5-4 boys lacrosse victory over Bridgewater-Raritan on Thursday.

Logan Stevens scored four goals for Bernards (14-1), including the last two of the second quarter and the first goal of the third quarter to give the Mountaineers a 4-2 lead early in the second half.

David Brothers scored one goal, Charlie Hunnewell passed for two assists, and Jake Caldwell and Finn Vaccaro each passed for one assist in the victory. Trevor Sardis won seven of 12 faceoffs for Bernards.

Cameron Kurdyla of Bridgewater-Raritan made 18 saves. Bryce Lewandowski, Alex Rahmini and Nick DiEsso each had one goal in the win.

Bernards, the No. 2 seed, will play in the championship game at noon on Saturday at the Torpey Complex in Bridgewater against the Pingry-Ridge winner.
