BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The Gov. Livingston boys' lacrosse team clinched an impressive victory at home, triumphing over Oratory Prep with a score of 11-3 in Tuesday's conference showdown. This triumph followed a hard-fought 9-8 loss against Hanover Park last Friday, where senior Brett Peer showcased his scoring prowess by netting his 100th career goal with a hat-trick.

Entering Tuesday's game with determination and focus, the Gov. Livingston squad was determined to rebound from their previous defeat. Led by Peer, who showcased his skills with four goals and three assists, the team quickly established dominance on the field.

Contributions from players like senior Christian Magliacano with two goals and two assists, junior Caleb Leong with two goals and an assist, senior Owen Chait with two goals and senior Rodrigo Araujo with a goal further bolstered the team's offensive prowess, with each adding to the scoring onslaught.

The Gov. Livingston offense operated with precision and efficiency, thanks to crucial assists from junior Andrew Nappi, sophomore Scott McRae, and junior Matt Miller, keeping the scoreboard ticking.

Defensively, Gov. Livingston remained solid, thwarting Oratory Prep's attempts to gain momentum. Mac Chiefa's exceptional performance in faceoffs, winning 13 out of 14, coupled with Michael Nelson's eight saves in goal, ensured the team's defensive stability.

Looking ahead, the Highlanders will take on Dayton on Thursday in Springfield, followed by a home game against Johnson on Saturday.
