Local business to celebrate Mother's Day with a dessert-themed market
KENNEWICK, Wash.- A group of local small business will team up on Mother's Day weekend to provide a dessert-themed market for the holiday. According to Layered Cake Artistry, on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., they will host a Mother's Day market with several local vendors, featuring seasonal treats and popular desserts. Attendees also have the opportunity to pre-order desserts to be picked at the market from now until Friday, May 3.
Second Harvest Mobile Market comes to Prosser
PROSSER, Wash.- Mobile Market will distribute food for up to 250 families on Monday, April 29, at Bethel Church in Prosser from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. According to Second Harvest Tri-Cities, the market provides free food items, both perishable and non-perishable. The program aims to combat hunger and food insecurity in the area by providing food assistance to anyone who may need it.

KENNEWICK, Wash.-The East Benton County Historical Society is hosting an presentation on African American culture through pop culture at 7 p.m. on May 16 at the Museum at Keewaydin. LaToya Brackett will give a presentation entitled, "They Want Our Rhythm, but Not Our Blues: African American Innovation through Pop Culture."
