Roaches and improper holding temps: 2 Louisville restaurants earn 'C' grade

Two Louisville restaurants inspected between Oct. 26 to Nov. 1 earned a "C" score with a critical violation. Each restaurant in Jefferson County is scored out of a possible 100 points. A score of 85 or above, with no critical violations, will earn a location an "A." A score of 84 or below, or citing one or more critical violations, regardless of the score, will earn a location a "C." According to Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness, a "B" score is given to a facility that has ongoing compliance issues, such as two consecutive failed inspection scores or closure due to an imminent health hazard. Restaurants that earn a "C" and fail will be inspected again by the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness within seven to 10 days. The sandwich chain knocked Chick-fil-A from the top of the fast-food customer-satisfaction rankings, ending an 11-year streak. Jersey Mike's debuted at No. 1 in the 2026 American Customer Satisfaction Index , edging Chick-fil-A by one point. The ranking comes as restaurants face tougher competition for increasingly cost-conscious customers. Here's what helped Jersey Mike's take the crown and where to find the chain in Ohio and Kentucky. Why is Jersey Mike's ranked higher than Chick-fil-A? Jersey Mike's earned a score of 84, topping Chick-fil-A at 83 and emerging as the new leader in customer satisfaction among fast-food chains. The ranking is based on 16,464 customer surveys conducted between April 2025 and March 2026. Chick-fil-A remains the top-rated chicken chain, but Jersey Mike’s stood out for freshness, menu variety and value, the report said.
