UW-Superior holds survey for ideas at Head of the Lakes fairgrounds
SUPERIOR, Wis. (Northern News Now) - The Head of the Lakes fairgrounds in Superior is asking residents for ideas they want to see in the future. From racing and rodeos to live music and group events, the fairgrounds host events year-round, but it can put a lot of wear and tear on the grounds. That’s why the University of Wisconsin Superior (UWS) was asked by Douglas County to create an assessment for people to share their thoughts on this public space.
One Person Dead After Structure Fire In Village Of Superior
UPDATE (May 10, 12:05 p.m.) — The Superior Fire Department says one person is dead due to a structure fire early Friday morning. Crews were dispatched to the scene in the Village of Superior at 4:23 a.m. Fire was coming from a single car attached garage but later spread to the front of the single-story home.
Superior HOG to host Blessing of the Bikes with Bald Eagle Harley Davidson
MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) - U.P. bikers are gearing up for motorcycle season. To help them prepare, Superior Chapter Harley Owners Group (HOG) is hosting a Blessing of the Bikes ceremony on Saturday with Bald Eagle Harley Davidson. The Christian Motorcycle Association will be leading a prayer to bless the motorcycles with safety as the season begins. There will also be food, drinks and a group ride after the blessing.

The event features a 10-mile hike with weighted rucksacks to symbolize the burdens carried by veterans experiencing combat stress. Money raised from the march helps fund reconditioning programs for veterans in Duluth.
