BELLEVILLE, Ill. – A two-month-old is safe and Belleville police are looking for the child’s father following a kidnapping overnight.

According to a Belleville Police Department spokesperson, officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Wabash Avenue just before 3:25 a.m. for a reported domestic disturbance.

When officers arrived, they met with the infant’s mother, who said the child’s father took the infant from the home without her permission.
