Weis Markets donates $1.5k to ClearWater Conservancy

EARTH, (WTAJ) — In observance of Earth Day, Weis Markets announced that they donated $1,500 to ClearWater Conservancy .

ClearWater Conservancy’s mission is to conserve and restore natural resources through land conservation, water resources stewardship and environmental outreach across central Pennsylvania.

“We are committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and that includes protecting our natural resources and our planet,” Weis Markets Vice President of Marketing and Advertising Maria Rizzo said. “ClearWater Conservancy’s dedication to clean water conservation is crucial to helping our community thrive. We’re proud to support their vital work in ensuring a healthy and sustainable environment for our local community members and beyond.”

“This is an important and worthwhile opportunity to get people to take care of our local watersheds,” ClearWater Conservancy’s Interim Executive Director Donnan Stoicovy said. “When we can clean up our local roadsides and waterways, we help all those downstream maintain a healthier environment, too.”
