For the Carolina racers competing, this day is not just about the racing.

Beckley Motor Speedway President, Joseph Rush said, “The Tour Owner passed away very unexpectedly just a couple weeks ago. This means a lot to those racers that run with that series that are coming to race with us. Especially because, like I said, it will be the first event that they’ve had since their series owner passed away. It’s paying $2, 086 to win. The 86 was the owner’s number and that’s where we got that win amount from.”
