Beckley Goodwill makes Grand Opening announcement

BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Grand Opening event has been announced for the newest Beckley Goodwill location and is set to take place next month.

The retail establishment is currently in the process of moving inventory from its current Appalachian Drive location to the former location of Party City at 4283 Robert C. Byrd Drive.

The change was made public by way of recently posted signage at both the current – soon to be former – and new locations, indicating that the Appalachian Drive store will closing its doors on May 19, 2024.

The new location will be the latest Goodwill addition to the Raleigh County area following the 2022 cutting of the ribbon at the Lester Square location in Sophia.

Shelves throughout nearly half of the Appalachian Drive Goodwill location were observed to have been cleared this week, likely in anticipation of the move.

The Grand Opening event for the Robert C. Byrd location is scheduled for 9:00am on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Those who arrive early for the event could find themselves walking away with limited freebies, including swag bags, coffee, and other surprises.
