Suspect captured in armed robbery of Amish teen

JACKSON — The suspect in the reported robbery of a Jackson County Amish teen has been captured. The suspect was apprehended in Pike County late Friday night.

A tip from a citizen, led Jackson County Sheriff Tedd E. Frazier’s deputies to the Beaver area in Pike County.

Working with the assistance of the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Deputies were able to take the suspect, now identified as 30-year-old Jason Daniel Holloway of Beaver, into custody. The suspect truck was also located during the investigation in West Portsmouth.

Halloway is accused of stopping a 16-year-old Amish teen on Cove Road at gunpoint on Thursday, April 11, as the teen was traveling with his horse and cart. Holloway then demanded the teen hand over his wallet and fled.
