    Meet the Battle Creek Enquirer Athletes of the Week, presented by Oaklawn Hospital.

    Each week during the high school sports season, we will ask our readers to vote for the top performance of the week in all the winter sports, taking a look at events from Monday-Saturday.

    Make sure to vote early and often for your pick, as the winner will get an Enquirer Athlete of the Week T-shirt. Fans can vote for their favorite athlete until Wednesday at 5 p.m.

    Stefanie DeLong

    Marshall Girls Soccer

    Stefanie DeLong has helped Marshall stay in first place in the Interstate 8 Conference in its effort to defend the Redhawks' league championship. DeLong scored two goals in a 3-1 win over Parma Western to keep Marshall undefeated in the league. She added a goal in a tie with Grand Ledge during the week and an assist in a win over Coldwater.

    Faith Hewkin

    Lakeview Softball

    Lakeview senior infielder Faith Hewkin has had a standout final campaign with the Spartans. Two weeks ago, Hewkin had a mammoth series of games, hitting .385 with two home runs, nine RBI and an OPS of 1.357, which included a doubleheader sweep of rival Gull Lake. Hewkin kept her hot bat going this week with seven more runs scored.

    Sophia Kline

    Harper Creek Softball

    Harper Creek sophomore outfielder Sophia Kline had a standout week as the Beavers went 3-1. She was 10-of-14 for a .741 batting average with seven RBI, a double, triple and a home run. A key leadoff hitter for Harper Creek, she has been a threat on the base paths all season.

    Ethan Tabiadon

    Harper Creek Boys Track

    Ethan Tabiadon has helped the Harper Creek boys track team to a No. 2 ranking in the state in Division 2. Tabiadon recently broke the school record for the 300 hurdles twice in a matter of weeks. His current mark stands as the best time in school history at 39.79.
