    Red Stick Flavor Festival: When, what to know, how much tickets cost

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Red Stick Flavor Festival will return to Baton Rouge on Saturday, Aug. 3, and Sunday, Aug. 4.

    The festival, which is entering its second year in the capital city, will celebrate food, culture and community.

    “The Red Stick Flavor Festival is an unforgettable celebration of food, health, culture, and community,” said Isaiah Armstrong, founder of the event. “Our goal is to bring communities together through a showcase of local food trucks, live entertainment, and small businesses.”

    According to Armstrong, the Red Stick Flavor Festival will feature more than 100 food vendors, including food trucks, small businesses and health plans. Musicians from the local area will also showcase their talent throughout the weekend.

    Armstrong gave a hint on what festivalgoers can look forward to.

    “They can expect authentic Louisiana experience,” said Armstrong. “From food, entertainment, activities, resources, health screenings and giveaways. This will be a one-stop-shop for people of all ages and culture.”

    There are two ticket options: a one-day pass and a weekend pass. A one-day pass is $15, plus a $2.85 fee and a weekend pass is $35, plus a $4.19 fee. You can buy tickets online.

    Both options give attendees access to all food vendors, a selection of drink options, art activities and sponsored activities.

    “What makes this festival different is that it’s a balance between community and culture,” said Armstrong. “It gives the community an event, activities that encourage residents and inspire the youth. It helps with bringing resources, education and benefits to Baton Rouge.” “

    He said is also helps local leaders talk to the community and bridge potential gaps.

    The Red Stick Flavor Festival will be held at 3745 Choctaw Drive, Baton Rouge.
