A Picture Perfect Homecoming For Concordia-Moorhead
MOORHEAD, Minn. (10/10/26)---The sun was shining, the flags were flying, the crowd was cheering and the Cobbers were rolling. It was pretty much a picture perfect Homecoming Day as Concordia cruised past Hamline 56-10. The Cobbers got touchdowns from six different players on the way to their fifth straight win of the season. CC is 5-0 in all games and 4-0 in MIAC play – one of only two unbeaten teams in conference play.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota State volleyball team rolled past North Dakota, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. With the win, the Bison improve to 11-4 (3-2 Summit) on the season and have won 16 of the last 18 meetings with the Fighting Hawks. North Dakota drops to 7-9 (1-4 Summit) with the loss.

The first game without a fallen soldier, trap games galore and a heavyweight fight highlight the MW slate in Week 6. Week 6 of the 2026 season is here, and we have our largest slate of Mountain West conference games so far. The final MW debut will take place on Saturday, with the rest of the slate featuring must-win games, regardless of if a team enters 0-4 or 5-0. After this week, both the MW Championship and bowl pictures will be much clearer, as this week marks the halfway point of the season for half the league. MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Minnesota State Moorhead football used consistent offense and stout defense to retain the Paddle Trophy for the 11th straight season on Saturday. The Dragons scorched the University of Mary in the annual Battle For The Paddle rivalry game, which also fell on MSUM's Homecoming, 42-22. Moorhead would begin the game on offense, implementing a strong gameplan, centered around Drew Huebner and Kalen Lucas. The Dragons used 12 plays to travel 75 yards on the drive, which included four Lucas receptions. MSUM would also convert a pair of fourth and short scenarios on the series. On a fourth and six play from the Mary 13-yard line, Huebner moved through his progressions. The sophomore quarterback would find Lucas over the middle for the game's first score. After the teams traded punts, Mary would equalize late in the first period on a 31-yard run. The teams would remain tied at seven points after 15 minutes of action.

Crimson football loses to No. 1 Moorhead
A strong first half wasn't enough on Oct. 2. The Maple Grove football team went into halftime against the top team in the state with a 21-20 lead. The undefeated Moorhead scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second half to win 40-21. The Spuds started things off with a 29-yard passing touchdown from Jett Feeney to David Mack. The Mack and Feeney connection was alive all day as the two connected on 15 passes for 303 yards and four touchdowns. Luca Maciej ran for a 55-yard touchdown later in the first quarter to tie things up, but the Spuds got the lead again in the second. Tay Reich ran for a seven-yard score, but the Spuds missed the extra point. Maciej came right back with another long score, this time for 54 yards. Maciej and the Crimson grabbed the lead after they converted the point after. Feeny and Mack couldn't be stopped as they snuffed out the momentum with a 31-yard pitch and catch to the end zone. Graham Greseth and the Crimson drove all the way down the field where, with two seconds left in the half, Greseth hit Briggs Tarnowski for an eight-yard touchdown for a 21-20 advantage.
