The Black & White Summer Gospel Fest will take place at the Lake Terrace Convention Center in Hattiesburg on July 6, 2024. Doors will open at 5:00 p.m., and the program will start at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 the day of the event.

At 0618 on May 13, 2024, an 18 wheeler fire @ the Love’s Truck Stop was reported. Magee Fire responded with 3 units & 14 personnel. Upon arrival, found a tractor/trailer well involved under the diesel fuel canopy. The tractor and two adjoining full pumps were under heavy flames impingement. A near-by tractor trailer was an exposure issue (being threatened by the flames). The fuel pumps were shut off at the emergency fuel stop switch.
