TAKE 5 top-prize ticket sold in Ulster Park
One lucky Broadway Mart Corp. customer bought a top-prize winning ticket in the May 12 TAKE 5 evening drawing, according to the New York Lottery. The ticket was worth $7,609.00 and sold at the Broadway Mart at 443 Broadway.
Sojourner Truth statue to be exhibited in Kingston, Newburgh
NEW PALTZ – “Sojourner Truth: First Step to Freedom, 1826,” a bronze statue of the 19th century civil rights activist with deep Hudson Valley roots, will be temporarily exhibited at Kingston City Hall later this year, and then a site in Newburgh that will be named at a later date, before being installed permanently on the SUNY New Paltz campus in 2026.
Kingston Artists Soapbox Derby reception set for June 1st
KINGSTON – The Kingston Artists Soapbox Derby is pleased to present an exhibition of submitted poster designs by area artists in the 2024 poster design contest at the Kingston Library at 61 Crown Street. The reception is on Saturday, June 1st, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibit will be on view until August 17th.
