Police: Man breaks into pharmacy, holds employee hostage
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man is accused of breaking into a north St. Louis County pharmacy in March to rob the business and holding an employee hostage. According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the robbery took place on March 31 at the Walgreens located at Chambers and Halls Ferry roads.

Jahmeshia Patterson, Festus Track Speedster is Athlete of the Week
(FESTUS) Jahmeshia Patterson a freshman on the Festus girls track and field team is this week’s Regional Radio/Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week. At the recent JCAA Conference Track Meet, Patterson was named the conference MVP after scoring 36 points. She won the 100m dash, and her time was good enough to break a 30-plus-year-old conference record in the event. Patterson also took first in the 200m dash and finished second in both the 100m hurdles and long jump.
Rising rivers a sign that St. Louis region no longer in a drought
ST. LOUIS – There’s been significant improvement in the drought situation. River levels have increased, and now minor flooding is occurring along many of our rivers. Drought conditions have improved area-wide. As of a month ago, the St. Louis metro area was in a moderate drought, with part of the region in a severe drought.
Police give update in search for missing 33-year-old woman
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. – Officials have released new information on a woman who was reported missing less than two weeks ago. Emily Strite, 33, was reported missing April 20. Detectives originally stated that she was last seen April 2 in Imperial, MO, but have now learned that she was last seen on foot the morning of April 12 in De Soto, MO, according to a release. It is also now believed that she left the area at her own will.
