This week will be sunny, dry, and a little too warm for mid-October. Normal highs are typically in the upper 70s, around 77 to 79 degrees for Florence and Myrtle Beach, but temperatures through most of the week will climb into the mid to upper 80s, with some areas reaching 88 degrees.

The sunshine returns for the new work week

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW)– Saturday brought periods of on-and-off rain. A brief spin-up occurred south of Georgetown County, but most of the severe weather appeared to stay away from the local area. Cloud cover remained consistent throughout the day. Rainfall totals were near 1 inch across the area, with higher amounts to the coast and southwest, where more of the thunderstorm activity remained concentrated.

Power restored to Georgetown homes, businesses after severe weather

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Power was restored to homes and businesses in Georgetown on Saturday. There was a power outage that affected around 216 homes in Georgetown. Santee Cooper said the power outage was due to a transmission issue and crews worked to restore the power after the remnants of Isaias.
