Patel, 33, of Franklin Park, is accused of posing as a member of the Federal Trade Commission in a phone call. Patel told the resident that his name was “Patrick” and he claimed that she was a victim of identity theft and should remove all funds from her bank accounts and turn them over to him for safekeeping, Colonie Police said.
