The Northland is under a Flood Watch from until 7am Wednesday morning. An additional 1-3” is likely all over with some areas seeing even more farther west toward Bemidji. This storm system will also bring strong and gusty northeast winds Tuesday night into Wednesday, gusts of 30 to 40 mph are possible. Winds then turn to the WSW Wednesday, and continue to be gusty. Winds will likely be in the 15-25 mph sustained winds early Wednesday morning.

Essentia Health Holds Listening Session in Fosston Ahead of Arbitration
Essentia Health in Fosston decided to pause obstetric services in June of 2022, citing a need for additional nursing staff. Fosston city officials tried to work with Essentia to find a solution, but after several months, they felt Essentia had no intention of restoring OB services, which would break an agreement the two made to continue core health care services at that hospital.

Bemidji Trap Team’s Annual Lumberjack Invitational Gets Largest Turnout to Date
16 schools and 360 youth participants competed in the 11th annual Bemidji Lumberjack Trap Invitational on Saturday, the largest turnout to date. The fundraiser is intended to not only support the Bemidji Lumberjack trap team, but also to prepare them for the upcoming state championship in Alexandria. The invite mimics the state championship shoot in format, with two full rounds of trap in the morning and two more in the afternoon.
