1 dead in Carbon County head-on crash
RAWLINS, Wyo. — One person died Saturday afternoon in a truck-on-car collision near Rawlins after the two collided head-on, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol. The wreck occurred at around 12:45 p.m. near mile marker 8.5 along US 287. The driver of a Freightliner semi truck was headed south when they lost control of their vehicle and crossed into the northbound lane.
Much of I-80 in Wyoming Closed Due to Weather, Rolling Closures
Hundreds of miles of Interstate 80 in Wyoming have been closed due to winter conditions and rolling closures. Currently, the eastbound lanes between Rock Springs and Rawlins are closed due to rolling closure, both lanes between Rawlins and Laramie are closed due to winter conditions, and the westbound lanes between Laramie and Cheyenne are closed due to rolling closure.
