Bartlesville Man Charged with Kidnapping and Domestic Abuse
A Bartlesville man is facing two felony charges of domestic abuse assault and battery by strangulation, plus a felony charge of kidnapping. William Anthony Collins appeared in Washington County court this week on those charges after being picked up Tuesday on an outstanding warrant. The different charges stem from separate incidents. According to an affidavit, Collins allegedly choked the victim two times during an argument on Feb. 6th. It is also alleged that Collins slapped the victim with the back of his hand in the face after releasing his hands from their neck.

The planned expansion of the Chickasaw Wastewater Treatment Plant just became a little bit cheaper with the injection of funds from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board. To help pay for the $65 million expansion, the City of Bartlesville was awarded a $2 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act, administered by OWRB. Although it seems like a drop in the bucket, it does offer some savings.
