First freeze of the season tonight
CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (Heartland News) - Good afternoon, Heartland. Temperatures are feeling a lot cooler today since the passage of a strong cold front with a lot of us in the 50s this afternoon. Temperatures will cool down very quickly tonight due to clear skies, and a lot of us will end up below freezing; therefore, a good portion of southeast Missouri and southern Illinois have been placed in a Freeze Warning for tonight. Widespread frost is possible for a majority of the Heartland tonight.
