    14-year-old arrested in Olmstead Homes Murder

    Update, May 8, 2024, 9:45 a.m. – A second arrest has been made in the Olmstead Homes fatal shooting.

    On May 6th, 14-year-old Carnell Quiller was arrested and charged with Murder.

    This comes in addition to Tydasia Hope’s arrest, she’s charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault in reference to the homicide on C Street in Olmstead Homes.

    The investigation is ongoing and no further information is available.


    AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a deadly shooting.

    19-year-old Tydasia Hope is charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault.

    Hope is accused of shooting and killing 22-year-old Jalen Sumpter and injuring a 16-year-old girl person.

    She remains in the Richmond County Jail.
