Your search for the perfect smoothie could be over after Smoothie King opens off River Watch

Fans of a national smoothie chain now have another Augusta-area location on their radar.

The recent opening of Smoothie King in the Villages at Riverwatch commercial plaza marks the growing chain’s fourth location in Richmond and Columbia counties.

The new store at 814 Cabela Dr., Ste. 104, joins the Grovetown location at 4986 Steiner Way; Evans, at 3002 Allen Dr., inside Evans Fitness Club; and Augusta, at 1145 Agerton Ln., across from Regal Augusta Exchange movie theater.

Smoothie King’s new five-year lease on Cabela Drive was negotiated by Meybohm Commercial Properties.

Smoothie King was founded in Louisiana in 1973 and bought in 2012 by South Korean franchisee Wan Kim, who launched an effort to establish more franchises and company-owned locations.
