Audubon Boy’s and Girl’s Tennis Falls to Clarinda on Thursday

(Audubon, IA) – The Audubon boy’s and girl’s tennis teams were able to keep their respective matches close on Thursday but fell to Clarinda. The boys lost 8-1 while the girls fell 6-3.

For the girl’s side, the Wheelers featured two singles wins with Briley Belnap beating Alivia Higgins 8-4 while Sammy Warnaca was able to take her match 8-6 over Ellison Lovett. In the doubles matches, Rachael Rynearson and Lauren Greving took a victory over Alivia Higgins and Ellison Lovett of Clarinda while beating them 9-7. On the boy’s side, Creighton Bird was able to beat Isaac Jackson in a tight 9-7 matchup while Carson Matthews earned the singles victory over Ben Miller 8-6 as the only singles victory for Audubon.
