Warsaw FFA Competes In State Horse & Pony Judging Competition
Warsaw FFA recently competed in the Indiana 4-H/FFA State Career Development Events (CDEs) for the FFA Horse and Pony Judging CDE. Students that participated in the Horse and Pony Judging CDE had to learn principles of horse and pony selection and evaluation and to develop the ability to make sound decisions based on observations and to defend these decisions verbally. Students were also able to appraise horses and ponies visually as a part of a sound breeding and management program as well as a means of evaluation in horse shows and contests.
What’s Happening On Lake Tippecanoe
The Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners (LTPO) will host several events over the summer. The public is invited. On June 15, there will be a fish and chicken fry. This fundraiser is being held at Camp Crosley from 5 to 8 p.m. or until sold out. At T1A Lane, there will be an all-you-can-eat dine-in opportunity with live entertainment. The cost is $15 per person. Children 5 and under are free. If carry-out is your choice, T1A Lane is where you will want to go. Just pull up and receive your meal of fish and chicken. For an extra cost, desserts will be available at both locations, according to a news release from the LTPO.

Any budding artist who’d like to expand their horizons by Plein Air painting will want to consider this workshop led by David M. Seward, an award-winning Plein Air artist, and instructor David Broerman, founder of NIPPAA.
TVHS Stage Should Be Poured Soon
AKRON — Workers should pour the new Tippecanoe Valley High School auditorium stage next week. At its monthly public work session on Thursday, the Tippecanoe Valley School Board heard that information from The Skillman Corp. Project Manager Scott Rogers. The Skillman Corp. is the construction management company for TVHS’ ongoing construction project, of which the auditorium is part.

During the Warsaw Code Enforcement’s hearing, leaders heard from Raj Patel, the owner of Shivpal LLC, about the Economy Inn, 3521 Lake City Highway, and his contractor.
New Paris Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony schedule
NEW PARIS, Ind. - The New Paris Chamber of Commerce and the New Paris Boy Scouts, Troop 12, will host the annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on Sunday, May 26. The parade will start at 2 p.m., from Main and Market Streets and will proceed to the New Paris/Jackson Township Cemetery.

For the first time in seven years, Warsaw was able to end a drought and become champions of the Goshen boys track and field sectional Thursday night.
