“Very similar traits to Grady [Jarrett] in regard to the weight room and off-the-field habits, how he watches film, his dedication, his love for the game, and the key is he’s a little bit bigger.”

Former Clemson football captain and current college football analyst for the ACC Network and ESPN Eric Mac Lain had that to say when he joined The Morning Shift Tuesday and was asked what the Falcons are getting in their 35th overall pick Ruke Orhorhoro.

Mac Lain also went on to call Orhorhoro “super athletic, explosive" and even mentioned the versatility Ruke brings to the Falcons saying he “could slide out to a defensive end or even at a nose guard.”

Orhorhoro’s versatility, having the ability to play on the interior, or on the outside of the defensive line is another similarity he and Jarrett share. Mac Lain even mentioned that Orhorhoro could eventually be Jarrett’s “replacement.”

It will also be fun to see Jarrett and Orhorhoro play together for a least a few years as well. And with all the similarities these two share, and the luck they’ve had with their other stud defensive lineman out of Clemson, it’s no wonder why the Falcons decided to trade up for Orhorhoro.
