Another outpost of a Southern fast-food chain is in the works northwest of Atlanta.

Jack’s Family Restaurants appears to be working on a new location in Hiram, a city in Paulding County, according to construction plans. The 3,275-square-foot restaurant would be built at 780 Charles Hardy Parkway. The documents indicate plans for indoor seating and a drive-thru.

Jack’s began in 1960 as a walk-up hamburger stand in Homewood, Alabama, and now has more than 200 locations in Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The menu includes burgers, fried chicken, biscuits, breakfast items and milkshakes.

The chain has had plenty of growth in the Peach State, including a location in Cedartown that opened its doors last fall and a recently opened location in Albany .

Construction bids for the new Hiram location will be accepted until May 15, 2024.
