TikTok star Keith Lee draws crowds to Atlanta

The Keith Lee effect hit Atlanta on Wednesday as the TikTok star visited Selena S. Butler Park to give out free food.

Why it matters: Lee's social media following is so big that his food reviews can sometimes make or break a restaurant .

Case in point: The response to his visit was so overwhelming that organizers abruptly moved the giveaway location to a parking lot near Za'Acai Cafe at Piedmont and North avenues to accommodate the flood of people who stopped by with hopes of seeing Lee.

State of play: Food trucks for Eggroll Boyz, My Favorite Ice Cream Truck, Kayla's Italian Ice, Vurritos Locos and Steve's Caribbean Kitchen filled the parking lot as Lee stood on top of the cafe's roof to greet fans.

• Lee was joined by his wife and online streamers Kai Cenat and Roberto Gonzalez (aka Fanum).

What they're saying: Lee told The Atlanta Voice that he appreciates the city, and he wasn't expecting such a "crazy" turnout.

What's next: The TikTok food critic said yesterday his family had to cut their time short in Atlanta for business reasons but said he plans to return.
