TikTok's Keith Lee to host Atlanta food giveaway on Wednesday

TikTok star Keith Lee is giving out around 500 plates of food on a first-come, first-served basis in Atlanta at noon Wednesday.

State of play: The popular TikTok foot critic revealed on TikTok that his family came back to Atlanta to do more food reviews, but is cutting his time in the city short "due to business reasons" to visit Canada.

What to expect: The "FamiLee Atl Food Event" will happen from a food truck at Selena S. Butler Park at 98 William Holmes Borders Senior Dr SE.

• The event will occur "until food runs out," according to Lee's Instagram story.
• Lee said they want to give families food to thank the community.

Context: Lee's criticism of Atlanta in last year — he called it his worst stop in 2023 — resulted in his family receiving threats , he said.

• But now Lee says Atlanta "welcomed us back with open arms," and he's grateful because he wasn't expecting that "because of the last experience."

What they're saying: Lee says his family will only be in Atlanta for a few days, but they're planning to return at a later date.

• He also told people to be patient if they attend the food giveaway, because "it might get a little crazy."
