The Ohio men’s basketball team has added guard Elijah Elliott to its signing class for the 2024-25 season, head coach Jeff Boals announced May 13.

Elliott joins Ohio as a freshman with four years of eligibility.

“We are excited to add Elijah to our Ohio basketball program,” Boals said. “He is a highly competitive athletic guard that we have recruited for a while. Offensively he makes everyone around him better. Elijah plays with great energy and is an elite defender.”

The 6’3 Elliott comes to Athens from Orlando, Fla. where he played three seasons at Oak Ridge under head coach Steve Reece. During his junior season, Elliott averaged 10.1 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game. After spending the first half of his senior season at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kan., Elliott finished his senior season back in Florida at Sun Coast Academy. Elliott also played AAU for the Florida Rebels for four years.

Elliott is the son of Lawrence Elliott and Tamyah Heastie and has one sister, Sanai. Elliott is a fan of the Miami Heat and Lebron James and in his spare time enjoys fishing, video games, watching movies and painting. Elliott plans to major in Exercise Physiology at Ohio.
