Northland College Notes

The Northland College LumberJacks baseball team fell at home in a non conference doubleheader 12-4 and 8-6 to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds on April 24. Despite the losses, the ‘Jacks offense once again produced hits and runs in both games led by multiple hit efforts from Bryce Smith, Vinny Troccoli, Tyler Murphy, Dezmon LeTexier, and Andy Linder. The team wraps up its season on May 3-4 with a three game home series against UMAC foe Martin Luther. Look for the ‘Jacks sporadic pitching to even out against the last place Knights, while Northland’s consistently potent offense presents problems for Martin Luther hurlers who have struggled to get outs this season.
