In a concerning development, former Elkhart Police Chief Laura Koch was apprehended on Monday on suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated, according to authorities. Reports indicate that an Indiana State trooper pulled Koch over on County Road 17 after observing her vehicle crossing the center line. Upon investigation, an open container of alcohol was allegedly discovered inside her car, and Koch purportedly failed field sobriety tests administered at the scene.
