Concerns over safety in neighborhood after Friday night shooting
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - When Bre Douglas heard there was a shooting on Friday night just feet away from where she grew up - she says she wasn’t surprised. “Every week there is a killing or shooting or something,” Douglas said, “I hear people say somebody just got shot in University Court. I just be like, ‘oh, really?’ Like it’s not surprising. It’s actually normal over here and it’s scary.”

Wet Week Ahead for Nashville, Showers and Thunderstorms Dominate Forecast
Nashville residents should brace themselves for a soggy week ahead, as the National Weather Service in Nashville forecasts a series of showers and thunderstorms. According to the latest reports, today Nashville skies will darken with showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4 pm, followed by more likely thunderstorms between 4 pm and 5 pm. The high temperature could soar up near 83 degrees with a breezy southwest wind reaching 15 mph, along with gusts that might peak at 20 mph. It seems almost certain with a 90 percent chance that umbrellas and raincoats will be the accessories of the day as new rainfall could accumulate between a quarter and half of an inch.
