    Conservation program at the North Carolina Zoo

    ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — North Carolina scientists are leading efforts to save critically endangered species around the world including black rhinos, lions and gorillas as part of the Smart Technology Partnership.

    A decade ago, the NC Zoo joined zoo societies in New York, London, and Frankfurt, Germany to create a program that uses a rugged cell to gather data about animal patterns in national parks in Africa.
