Caitlin Clark to make WNBA debut against Dallas Wings

Basketball star Caitlin Clark will make her much-anticipated WNBA debut Friday night in a preseason game against the Dallas Wings at the College Park Center in Arlington. The game is already sold out.

Clark was a phenom in college at the University of Iowa, where she broke the NCAA's career scoring record last season. She helped drive interest in the game and bring television ratings to new heights.

"There's going to be a lot of new fans coming into the WNBA, there's already a lot of fans here and just continue to grow that and keep those fans," Clark said.

The Dallas Wings first round draft pick, Jacy Sheldon of Ohio State, will also make her professional debut.

"Coming into the Dallas Wings, they're an amazing program, not only on the offensive side of the ball, but the defensive side, as well," she said.

The game tips off at 7 p.m. and can be streamed at WNBA.com .
