Frisco Police Honor Fallen Officer on Peace Officers Memorial Day, Recalling the Legacy of Dedication and Sacrifice
On Peace Officers Memorial Day, the Frisco Police Department took a solemn moment to pay tribute to one of their fallen heroes, Officer Joe Murphy. According to a post made by the Frisco Police Department, Murphy, who was killed in a tragic crash on January 29, 1968, in the line of duty, was honored for his ultimate sacrifice. His end of watch nearly 56 years ago marked the loss of the department's first officer to die while serving the community.
