Pet Fest Returns to Glens Falls Sunday May 19
GLENS FALLS — Pet Fest will take place 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Sunday, May 19 in Glens Falls City Park. The event is hosted by the Glens Falls Collaborative in collaboration with North Country Paws for Obedience, local Canine Enrichment Center & group of leaders/trainers dedicated to adventure, fulfillment, and relationship with the community and their canine companions.

Ex-manager accused of stealing nearly $32,000 from Albany Rural Cemetery
A Fort Edward man is accused of stealing nearly $32,000 from the Albany Rural Cemetery while working as the manager. David M. Eslinger, 58, allegedly issued nine duplicate salary payments for a total of $15,001.12 from the period of March 2022 through May 2023, according to Colonie Town Court documents. He also used an American Express credit card issued for the cemetery to make $16,973 worth of personal purchases from January 2002 through September 2023, court documents said.

Police: Troy woman stole over $8,500 from Wilton business she worked for
A Troy woman is accused of stealing more than $8,500 from a Wilton business she worked for. Sinead M. Corrigan, 42, was arrested by police on a charge of third-degree larceny. Corrigan allegedly stole merchandise and cash from January 2024 until April 2024. She turned himself in. She was released on appearance ticket and due in Wilton Town Court on May 14.

SCHUYLERVILLE — Residents of the Schuylerville Central School District will have an opportunity to vote on the annual school budget, as well as select two members of the district’s Board of Education on May 21. The two seats up for grabs are currently held by Joanna Crowley (who is running for re-election) and Shaun Cumm. Once elected, the two board members will serve five-year terms beginning July 1.
