(WHNT) — Police say a teenager was arrested Wednesday after a police chase led to him crashing into a First National Bank in Ardmore, Tenn.

The chase began in Tennessee when the Elkton police chief and Ardmore AL/TN Police Department (APD) Captain Luna received an alert to look out for a vehicle with two teens inside. The teens, a girl from Franklin, Tenn., and a boy from Ashland City, Tenn., were both reportedly runaways.

According to APD Chief Jereme Robison, the officers spotted and attempted to stop the vehicle but the teens took off.

The chase ended when the vehicle crashed into the First National Bank. Police say no one was injured in the crash.

The girl was released back to her father.

The boy was arrested, charged with evading and issued several citations by the Tennessee Highway Patrol, who worked the wreck. He was eventually released to his mother.
