Film documentary showcases life of American Legion shooting victim
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - A non-profit organization in Gainesville is fighting against gun violence following the deadly American Legion shooting in 2021. 13-year-old Christopher Scott was killed in the American Legion shooting back in 2021, and now a student documentary is using his story to address youth gun violence. A screening of ‘The Life of Christopher Scott: Gun Violence is Preventable’ was shown to a packed room at the Hippodrome Theater.
