    Ansonia man accused of killing Bridgeport teen

    ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) — An Ansonia man is is custody for killing a teenager in Bridgeport, according to police.

    Kiheem Tyquan Benbow, a 21-year-old who also goes by “Patch,” was arrested last week after a search warrant was served at his home. He had a semiautomatic ghost gun on him at the time, according to police.

    Police said that he killed 17-year-old Romain Sterling, of Bridgeport, on April 10. Sterling was shot in the head on Park Avenue in Bridgeport.

    Benbow has been charged with murder, criminal attempt at first-degree assault, illegal transfer of a pistol/revolver, criminal violation of a protective order, failure to obtain a serial number and for carrying a pistol without a permit.

    He has not posted a $2 million bond.
