OMAHA, Neb. — Tuesday brought severe storms and heavy rainfall across much of Nebraska and Iowa. Most areas saw at least some soaking rain during the morning or afternoon. Omaha Eppley ended up with just over one-third of an inch of rainfall Tuesday. Parts of Madison, Platte, Stanton, and Cuming counties got walloped with estimated between 2 and 4-plus inches locally. Another swath of 1 to 2-inch totals soaked parts of northwest Missouri and southwest Iowa near Creston.
