Chicken Finger QSR Chain to Join Vic Village South as Anchor Tenant

Raising Cane’s will open its second Michigan location, joining Vic Village South as the anchor tenant. This news was first seen on MLive Ann Arbor . The deal was secured with the help of Colliers International Ann Arbor , a commercial real estate group. The leasing agent facilitating the deal was Jim Chaconas .

“We are grateful for our partnership with the owner of Vic Village South, through which we successfully collaborated to secure Raising Cane’s as an anchor tenant,” quoted the MLive coverage, “Raising Cane’s will be an invaluable addition to the retail landscape of Vic Village South. We are honored to have played a role in securing its future at this prominent location.”

Opening this fall, Vic Village South is a new luxury apartment development in Ann Arbor tailored toward university students. Oakland County-based Hughes Properties is the developer behind the project, and Asset Living is the property management group in charge. The development features a 13-story building at 1116 S University Ave with three ground-floor commercial spaces.

Raising Cane’s, the QSR chain known for its chicken fingers, Texas toast, and crinkle fries, has been focusing on developing company-owned restaurants over the past few years. While the chain has over seven hundred locations nationwide, its only other Michigan location is East Lansing.
