Several area boy's golfers qualify for state tournament
Several area golfers individually qualified for the MSHAA State Tournament during districts on Monday. For the first time since 2014, Bishop Leblond missed out on the state tournament as a team, but did see three individuals qualify for the Class 3 District 4 tournament as Timothy Johnston (3rd, +2 74), Pat Johnston (7th, +4 76) and Davis Jungbluth Bishop LeBlond ( 18th, +12 84) qualified.
Local boxing club brings "Showdown in Joe Town" to St. Joseph
(ST. JOSEPH, Mo) The Bear Den Boxing is coming to the Timeout Event Center in St. Joseph to present "Showdown in Joe Town." The Bear Den Boxing is a USA Boxing affiliate and Kansas City Golden Gloves affiliate. The event will have 23 boxing matches with two belts on the line in the main event and co main event. The fights start at 6 p.m. on May 25th at Timeout Event Center located at 3414 S 22nd St, St. Joseph, MO 64503.
MWSU's Jeffery Johnston tees off in first ever NCAA Regional
For the first time in his collegiate career, one Missouri Western golfer from St. Joseph is taking the course for the NCAA Regionals. It's been an outstanding year for Jeffery Johnston, a Bishop Leblond alumnus and now junior at Missouri Western, all culminating in a trip to the NCAA Men's Golf Championships.
Lafayette Irish Baseball Ends Skid in Extra Innings

Byrd, Mannings sign to same college program
The next time Talicia Byrd and Honor Mannings are on the court may not be in a Lafayette uniform, but the stars align for them to continue their basketball journeys together. The Fighting Irish senior duo, both St. Joseph natives, will move on to play college basketball at North Central Missouri College in Trenton. The two have played basketball together from a very young age, so it only makes sense the decision be made in lockstep.
