AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – The City of Amarillo announced on Wednesday that it will be accepting applications for a pair of open positions on the city advisory boards until May 23.

City officials noted that the open positions up for applicants are on the Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare Advisory Board and the City of Amarillo Library Advisory Board, each of which has one vacancy. Those boards are two among around 40 boards and commissions that currently serve the city.

Those interested in applying for either of the open board positions can do so online here.

The application announcement comes after the most recent Amarillo City Council meeting on Tuesday, during which officials discussed non-consent items regarding appointing members to fill vacancies on the AAMW and library boards. There was also a vacancy noted on the Condemnation Appeals Commission during the meeting, though that position did not appear to be open for applicants.

More information on the Amarillo city boards and commissions can be found here.
